PVC DECKING

The new age of decking is here. PVC. Actually it has been around for a while, but until recently the PVC decking has been hollow. That posed a problem for complex designs as it would require caps and trim to cover the hollow ends. With the introduction of Azek Deck (Procell) and Veka, consumers now have a couple options for PVC decking that can even be mitered and routed just like wood.
Priced in the range of the higher end composites, yet with longevity and quality that will outlast even those very same high end composites. Both Azek Deck and Veka have everything a homeowner could want. Long lasting, minimal maintenance material at an affordable price. Another advantage to both Azek Deck and Veka is its ability to reflect and not absorb the heat from even the hottest summer days. COMPOSITE DECKING AND RAILING
Shoreline Lumber has the largest selection of composite decking in S.W. Florida and stocks the most popular brands in Timbertech, TREX and Evergrain. Shoreline also carries Fiberon and Elk's Crosstimbers brands of decking. All of the composite lines come with warranties, ranging from 10 to 25 years.
Composite decking is the wave of the future for marine contractors, commercial/residential builders, landscape contractors and homeowners. Composite decking looks like real wood, cuts like real wood, and feels like real wood. However, unlike real wood, it is virtually maintenance free! It doesn't splinter, crack, warp, or rot.Composite decking is a mixture of wood and plastic which is extruded or molded to look like real wood. It comes in just about any plank size for any project size. The most common is the 5/4 X 6 or the 2 X 6 plank in 10-20 feet even lengths. Composites also come in 2 X 2, 4 X 4, 1 X 4, and 1 X 6 -- just to name a few. Matching composite railing kits are also available in different styles.

Trex offers a few different styles. The Brasilia collection simulates the look of a true exotic hardwood in both Burnished Amber and Cayenne colors. The Accents collection gives the consumer a more cost effective alternative to Brasilia, yet still offering several natural looking solid colors with a wood grain texture. Yet another step down in cost, would be their Origins collection, which consists of the same colors as the Accents only without the wood grain texture.
Azek Deck's (Procell) is a solid-core PVC decking, it has no wood fillers to compromise it's structural integrity, grain retention and scratch resistance like no other PVC or composite decking. Azek Deck will retain it's deep grain and bold colors for years to come, all while standing up to stain, mold, and even insect and termite damage. Azek's decking is 30 - 40% lighter than comparable decking materials and is backed by one of the industries strongest limited lifetime waranties.
Evergrain composite decking products are created through a unique compression molding process to create true to life, deep lasting wood grain. Available in four different colors and with both the 5/4" and 2x6" boards having a wood grain texture, it gives the consumer many different options.
TimberTech offers many possibilities when it comes to decking. There are three colors to choose from and boards ranging from a tongue and groove 2x6", to a twin finish 5/4" board with a brushed look on one side and a wood-like finish on the other.
TimberTech's process includes the extrusion of a virgin PVC mixed with their wood flour material. The use of virgin, rather than recycled PVC, helps to produce and maintain a more consistant color throughout each board.
